The Tennessee Credit Union League’s Herbert Ellison Memorial Scholarship Fund has scholarship funds available to cover registration fees for credit union managers, staff, and board members to attend League or CUNA sponsored educational programs. Scholarship assistance from this fund is generally limited to one scholarship per credit union per year and is awarded on a ‘needs’ basis.
Additionally, scholarship assistance is available through the League’s Community Investment Fund to provide education and training to an unlimited number of staff and board members for specialized training including: teller/MSR training; Bank Secrecy Act training; Elected Leaders Conference; in-house board training, etc. In certain cases, when the credit union can demonstrate definite financial need, partial funds may be available to reimburse the credit union for travel expenses (in addition to registration fees).
You may fax your completed Scholarship Application to Geraldine Cardwell at 423-899-8726. If you have any questions, call Ms. Cardwell at 800-572-7359, ext. 117.
Please don’t let a lack of budgeted funds keep your credit union from giving your staff and volunteers the education they need to do the best possible job for your members.
