The Encore Effect is a service program designed to achieve a credit union’s maximum potential by serving member needs, increasing member business and overall profitability, and creating referrals through word of mouth.

Topics to be covered in this program:

  • Exceeding Member Expectations – Learn to take service from ordinary to extraordinary and from routine to remarkable in four simple steps!
  • Needs-Focused Behaviors – Members aren’t always certain what they need when they visit or call the credit union.  By listening closely to member concerns and asking insightful questions, we can build stronger member relationships by providing what they truly need.
  • Cultivating Opportunities – Just like we might cultivate the soil in a garden, member relationships need regular care and concern.  Discover the steps for creating a strong bond with each and every member.

We will also be looking at some important regulations for frontline staff including:

  • BSA/Patriot Act – Credit union staff are responsible for implementing a due diligence process for accounts believed to pose increased risks of money laundering and terrorist financing. During this segment of the program, the basics of the law will be covered as well as application to daily circumstances that staff may encounter.
  • Reg CC – Applying and communicating check holds can be one of the most difficult challenges member service staff deal with each day. Many times, staff is caught between what the member wants and what credit union management wants. In this segment, we will discuss regular check holds, funds availability, and exception holds, and how to explain these holds to members.
  • Reg D – During this segment of the program we will review the fundamental requirements of Regulation D and the types of accounts defined in the regulation, as well as the limits on transfer activity from savings and money market deposit accounts.
