Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP)
Register now through July 14, 2020 for the fall schedule.
The Tennessee Credit Union League has a unique partnership with the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) to allow credit union staff to earn their financial counseling certification remotely.
The Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP) enables all credit union staff to become more confident in helping members build a stronger financial future. The self-study program is designed for credit union staff who work in financial counseling, collections, and loan departments, or any other staff members who are committed to helping members gain control of their financial future.
Modeled after the CUNA Certified Financial Counselor Schools, FiCEP includes two parts with four learning modules each. Each participant who successfully completes the proctored exams are granted the Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation and will be ready to help members reach their financial goals.
In addition to self-study education materials, this program includes eight in-print module presentations and webinars, two proctored exam sessions and training sessions to help participants learn how to use their new skills at work.
The benefits of this program include:
- Financial counseling skills enhance the credit union’s culture
- Written for all staff levels. Any staff member of the credit union can offer financial counseling during every member interaction
- Certification that satisfies members’ needs as they continually look for the value of a credit union
- Your credit union will have certified financial counselors on its team
- Provides education in real-world counseling
The cost for each FiCEP student is $995 (includes webinars, self-study materials, and exams). Upon successful completion, students will earn their Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor designation (CCUFC).
The fall 2020 schedule will begin August 11 with final testing on December 8, 2020.
