We can’t wait to see you at the Association’s Boots & Bowties Charity Fundraiser at the Grand Ole Opry later this month! As you prepare for the special evening, let’s help you narrow down your outfit selections.
It’s time to turn up the country and the glam!
Boots & Bowties will be on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry—the signature fundraiser is one of just a few private events to be where so many country music legends have stood for the past 100 years. This is an exclusive opportunity to shine bright for our favorite charities—Credit Unions for Kids and Inheritance of Hope!
There’s no formal dress code at the Opry, so opt for what makes you feel special in a Boots & Bowties kinda way!
“I always like to pick out something a little bit more fancy for the Grand Ole Opry because it’s almost like going to church,” said Emily Ann Roberts, country music singer and songwriter from Knoxville, who has performed numerous times at the Grand Ole Opry. “This place means so much to me, and I don’t want to show up in any old thing. I’ve got to look nice.”
Country Glam
Dress for a night that blends country charm with a touch of sparkle.
You’ll see everything from faded jeans to business suits—cowboy hats to your Sunday best—so feel free to make the look your own. Don’t be shy about incorporating rhinestones, fringe or metallic accents to elevate your evening attire. The vibe is bold, polished and a little bit flashy—Nashville style.
Think of the eye-catching outfits that Porter Wagoner and Little Jimmy Dickson wore. Here’s photos from the Porter Wagoner’s 50th anniversary as an entertainer in 1997 in photos from The Tennessean.
Don’t hold back—this is the night to sparkle under the lights.
Whatever you choose to wear, remember—the real showstopper is the impact we’re making for our incredible nonprofits.
