Heritage South Community Credit Union was among 181 credit unions nationwide named as winners of the prestigious Diamond Awards, America’s Credit Unions Marketing, PR & Development Council’s annual competition recognizing excellence in credit union marketing.
The America’s Credit Unions Diamond Awards are the premier annual marketing awards in the U.S. credit union industry, recognizing outstanding creativity, strategy, and results in marketing, branding, and communications. With a record of almost 1,500 entries across the nation, 330 awards were distributed, reflecting the exceptional quality of work produced by credit unions nationwide.
“When you arrive for work in the morning, you never know what challenges might come your way that day,” said Heritage South VP of Marketing, Wes Trundle. “Sometimes, the challenge requires a campaign with quick execution and deliberate messaging. If you’re lucky, that campaign will find a voice with your audience. If you’re really lucky, that campaign will resonate with not only your membership, but with industry peers.”
The credit union entered a video campaign into the Diamond Awards competition. The video, titled “Don’t Tap the Link,” was produced in response to persistent waves of scam text messages and fraud losses. It featured employees throughout the credit union urging members to remember one simple message: Don’t tap the link!
Heritage South received awards in the following categories:
- Social Media
- Social Short-Form Video
- Diamond in the Rough
The “Diamond in the Rough” category is a specialty award that highlights effective marketing efforts for little to no budget. Heritage South was honored with the distinction of “Category’s Best” in the Diamond in the Rough category, having earned the highest judge’s score in its asset class.
“I was extremely proud to learn our campaign earned three national awards,” added Laura Parham, CEO of Heritage South. “I have had more compliments from our peers over that specific campaign than ever before. I was thrilled the judges of the Diamond awards agreed.”
