Jack Daniel Employees’ Credit Union Helps Ensure Children Have Clothes for Going Back to School

While it is early July, many are already preparing for the back-to-school season.

“In our small community, “people helping people” extends beyond our credit union values and has been a community motto for years,” said Pam Case, CEO at Jack Daniel Employees’ Credit Union. “In 2023, the Moore County Resource Center presented us with their idea to assist students of lesser means with a Back-to-School tree project. By choosing an apple from the tree with the student’s shoe, shirt and pants size, members can assist students with a first day back to school outfit.”

The project also allows our members to make monetary donations toward school supplies by choosing a bus from our tree. Those donations will be used to help students fill their school supply list for their appropriate grade.

“So many students are proud of their first-day outfit and making that first impression,” said Pam. “We are excited to be a part of this project to help families start their students’ first day back to school by boosting their confidence as they walk into their new classroom. We are thankful to play a part in this project.”
