This week, Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group released the list of America’s Best Regional Banks and Credit Unions 2026.
Thirteen affiliate credit unions in Tennessee and Mississippi were recognized.
“We proudly congratulate these 13 affiliate credit unions for being recognized by Newsweek in this national list,” said Fred Robinson, president and CEO of the Tennessee and Mississippi Credit Union Association. “This recognition is a testament to the incredible member service of credit unions. The research measured factors such as customer satisfaction, trust, digital experience and service quality.”
The methodology utilized the Texas Ratio (a measure of a bank’s credit quality), as well as reviewed profitability and net loans and leases and press coverage over the past two years.
Research also included an elaborate large-scale independent customer survey of more than 71,000 U.S. citizens 1.9 million social media reviews and 129 million mobile app reviews. The team then determined the top 500 regional banks and top 500 credit unions.
