Personify Leadership Hosts First Cohort in Jackson, Miss.

Earlier this week, the Tennessee and Mississippi Credit Union Association hosted the first Personify Leadership class in Jackson, Miss.!

The two-day program was facilitated by Laura Parrish, chief revenue officer at the Tennessee and Mississippi Credit Union Association. Nine dedicated credit union professionals representing institutions across the region attended the inaugural class.

“From the very beginning, the room was engaged,” said Laura. “The group brought thoughtful discussion, real-life workplace scenarios and a willingness to lean into growth. What stood out most was the openness. Participants were not just listening—they were reflecting, sharing and challenging themselves to lead more intentionally.”

Why This Matters for Credit Unions

Credit unions are people-first organizations. Our leadership must reflect that. Investing in intentional leadership development strengthens not only individual managers but entire organizations and, ultimately, the members we serve.

The Jackson group demonstrated that credit union professionals are hungry for growth. They want tools. They want frameworks. And they want opportunities to grow alongside peers who understand the unique challenges of our industry.

“This first session confirmed something I’ve always believed: when we create space for reflection, conversation, and skill-building, leaders rise,” said Laura. “I’m incredibly grateful to the nine professionals who showed up ready to learn, share, and invest in themselves—and I’m excited to continue expanding Personify Leadership throughout our credit union community.”
