“As far as anything specifically related to Dolly’s impact in our credit union, I would say our mission and brand statement represents the philosophy she lived by as well: “We Help When Others Won’t” is exactly what she did…providing financial wellness and literacy in the community that she came from,” said Allie Lopez, vice president of operations at tnConnect Credit Union. “That is what our entire movement was founded on; people taking care of people. I once heard that one of the reasons she started Dollywood was so her “people” would have employment.”
