We recently concluded our Town Hall meetings across both Tennessee and Mississippi, and I want to personally thank everyone who took the time to attend. These meetings were extremely valuable not only for allowing us to share more about the direction of our unified organization, but more importantly, for helping us better understand the needs of our member credit unions.
One thing stood out clearly—credit unions are credit unions no matter the state. The challenges you face, the opportunities you pursue and the commitment you bring to serving your members are remarkably consistent across our footprint. That consistency is encouraging. It tells us we are aligned. It tells us we can leverage shared strengths. And it confirms that we are well equipped to step up and support credit unions where you need us most.
Advocacy Remains Job One
Across every meeting, there was unanimous agreement that advocacy must remain our top priority.
Without strong representation in Washington, D.C., Nashville and Jackson, credit unions risk being swept into legislation that could restrict our ability to serve members or limit the powers we currently hold. Protecting and advancing the credit union mission is not optional it is foundational. Your Association is committed to ensuring the credit union voice is heard clearly and consistently at every level of government.
Compliance Support Is Essential
We also heard loud and clear that compliance continues to demand daily attention. Whether operational compliance, regulatory interpretation or HR-related matters, credit unions need trusted expertise.
We are proud to say that we have those bases covered both through our in-house team and through carefully vetted external partners who extend our capabilities. Our goal is simple—to help you navigate complexity with confidence.
Training and Solutions Driving Engagement
Training and Solutions were strong points of discussion at every stop. Many credit unions took immediate action by booking training opportunities and exploring ways our Solutions team can support their business objectives.
The engagement we saw reinforces that education and strategic partnerships remain critical components of your League’s value proposition. We will continue expanding and refining these offerings to meet evolving needs.
A Commitment to Communication
We also heard a recurring theme, communication is key.
We have strengthened our team with additional expertise in marketing and communications and are committed to ensuring we share all of the benefits available to you through your association membership. Our mission is to provide value and serve as the voice for Tennessee and Mississippi credit unions through all of our communication channels.
Stronger Together
There is genuine excitement as we move forward as one unified organization. The energy across both states was encouraging and affirming.
Our goal is clear—to make your Credit Union Association the trusted, go-to resource for advocacy, compliance, education, innovation and insight into what is happening in the credit union world.
We appreciate your engagement. We value your feedback. And we are energized by the opportunity to serve you.
Stronger together—and just getting started.
