Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (TVFCU) is proud to announce the opening of its newest full-service branch located inside Food City at 6651 Lee Highway in Chattanooga. This marks the 9th in-store branch and 27th overall location for the credit union, reaffirming its mission to bring accessible, community-driven banking to the Tennessee Valley.
The Lee Highway Food City branch offers the convenience of modern banking in a compact, accessible space. Members can expect a full range of services, from account openings and loan assistance to everyday banking needs—all delivered with the friendly, personalized service TVFCU is known for.
“As a community credit union, we are committed to serving people where they are—and for many, that’s right in their neighborhood grocery store,” said Todd Fortner, president and CEO of TVFCU. “Our partnership with Food City allows us to align with a company that shares our values of community service and accessibility. We’re excited to grow together while bringing high-quality, personal banking experiences to more residents.”
In celebration of the grand opening, Food City shoppers are encouraged to stop by and ask about exclusive specials available for a limited time. Anyone shopping at the Lee Highway Food City is eligible to open a TVFCU account, making it easier than ever to join a credit union focused on people, not profits.
TVFCU also used this opportunity to give back to the community. Andrea Lyons, director of development at Erlanger/Children’s Hospital, accepted the ceremonial ribbon—made from one-dollar bills—on behalf of the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Credit unions nationwide support CMN, and this local donation will help fund vital services and programs at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.
Though small in size, TVFCU’s Food City branches offer the same full-service banking experience found at traditional locations, delivering convenience without compromise.
