Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union employees has committed over $53,000 to Credit Unions for Kids, a program supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This national initiative brings credit unions together to raise funds for nonprofit children’s hospitals across the country, helping ensure children get the care they need when they need it most.
“Supporting Credit Unions for Kids means more to us than just writing a check — it’s about standing with the children and families in our community when they need it most,” said Todd Fortner, CEO and president of Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union. “At TVFCU, we’re proud to play a part in helping kids get the care they deserve. This is what being part of a credit union is all about — coming together to make a real difference.”
Funds raised by CU4Kids go directly toward medical equipment, innovative treatment programs and family support services. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, TVFCU believes it is both a privilege and responsibility to invest in the health and future of the community’s children.
“Every dollar raised stays right here in our community — and that’s what makes this so meaningful,” said Andrea Lyons, director of development at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Corporate partners. “The funds are helping to support projects like the Angel Eye camera program in the NICU, which allows families to see their babies through live video, and renovations to the Children’s Emergency Room lobby. We truly couldn’t do what we do without the support of TVFCU. They’re helping change the course of children’s lives.”
