Educate Members About Shared Branching Services Ahead of Summer Travel Season with Shared Branching Awareness Week, May 20-24

We invite Tennessee credit unions to promote Shared Branching Awareness Week, May 20-24. The awareness week is a nationwide initiative for credit unions to easily promote the service of cooperative branching through Shared Branching to their members.

It is that time of year when members take vacations, college students return home and storm season begins. Shared Branching has more than 5,000 locations nationwide where members can access their accounts. If members are on vacation, even in another state, they can still access their accounts at a shared branching location.

All members need to access their account at a Shared Branching location is the name of their credit union, account/member number, and a valid US, state, county, federal or city government-issued picture ID with a signature. Members can make a variety of transactions at all locations, such as:

  • Account Inquiries
  • Deposits
  • Cash Withdrawals
  • Check Withdrawals
  • Transfers Between Sub-Accounts
  • Transfers Between Shared Branching Credit Unions
  • Statement Prints
  • Loan Payments

Some locations even offer additional services, but remember not all locations offer all these services, such as:

  • Money Orders
  • Travelers Checks
  • Notary Service
  • Investment Account Inquiries
  • Visa &/or MasterCard Cash Advances
  • Discount Theme Park Tickets
  • Gift Cards

Help ensure your credit union membership is aware that you offer this great service by joining us for Shared Branch Awareness Week, May 20-24.
