ORNL Federal Credit Union recently celebrated the grand opening of its new regional center at Northshore Town Center in Knoxville on Tuesday, April 11. Members of the community and representatives of ORNL FCU were on hand to participate in an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Knoxville Chamber. The state-of-the-art facility, located at 2077 Town Center Boulevard broke ground in November 2015 and construction was completed in February of this year.

The 24,000 square foot building includes a branch office and several operational departments. It is also the home office for ORNL FCU’s credit union service organization, CU Community, LLC. Approximately 80 employees work at the Northshore location.
The branch offers full teller and lending services, including: business services, new accounts, deposits, withdrawals, consumer loans, mortgage loans, and financial planning services.  Other features include both drive-thru and lobby Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) and a drive-thru ATM.  The new facility embodies the brand image of the Credit Union by providing members with convenience, access to emerging technologies, and a great user experience.

“The Northshore regional center is part of ORNL FCU’s Master Facilities Plan, which is designed to accommodate the Credit Union’s projected growth needs well into the future,” said Colin Anderson, ORNL FCU President & CEO. “Our focus is to meet the needs of our members, employees, and the community, as we have done for the last 69 years. The new building will allow the Credit Union to better serve an members, employees, and the entire Northshore community.”
