Resound Credit Union is pleased to announce that Laura Williamson has been named chief executive officer following the retirement of President Donna Young. Laura, a retired CPA, brings more than 32 years of credit union experience, including 28 years with Resound Credit Union, most recently serving as executive vice president. Laura offers a strong commitment to member service and a clear vision for continuing Resound’s momentum as it grows and strengthens its presence in the communities it serves.
Throughout her 28 years with Resound, Laura has played an important role in guiding the credit union through a period of meaningful growth, brand transition, expanded services, and continued investment in employees and members. Her background as a retired CPA, combined with her long tenure in the credit union movement, gives her a strong foundation in financial stewardship. Her leadership reflects Resound Credit Union’s values of sound decision-making, ethical service, and forward-looking innovation, while carrying forward the strong foundation that Resound has built over the last 71 years.
“I am honored to serve as CEO of Resound Credit Union and grateful for the opportunity the Board has given me to work alongside such a dedicated team,” said Williamson. “Our focus remains on providing trusted financial services, strengthening member relationships, supporting our employees, and advocating for our communities.”
Under Laura’s leadership, Resound will continue to pursue strategic growth and innovation while ensuring members continue to receive the personal service and trusted financial guidance they expect from their credit union.
