After more than four decades of service, Susan Acuff has retired from Consumer Credit Union, concluding a remarkable 42-year career with the credit union.
Susan began her career with Consumer Credit Union in 1984 as controller and was promoted to chief financial officer in 2004. Throughout her career, she played an important role in the credit union’s growth, helping guide the organization through years of change, including several mergers and acquisitions.
Forty-two years is more than a milestone; it’s a lifetime spent helping ensure our members remained at the heart of every decision. While Susan’s daily presence will certainly be missed, the impact of her career will continue to be felt through the people she worked alongside, the members she served and the strong foundation she helped build.
As Susan begins this well-deserved retirement, Consumer Credit Union extends its sincere appreciation for her years of service and wishes her nothing but the best in this next chapter.
“While Susan’s extensive knowledge, unwavering dedication, and many years of loyal service to CCU will be greatly missed, I am pleased to announce that Katherine McCormick, CPA, has been named chief financial officer. Katherine has been an integral part of the Consumer Credit Union team for the past 12 years, serving most recently as senior vice president of finance. She brings a wealth of financial expertise, exceptional leadership, and the same commitment to excellence that has long defined Susan’s career. Although Susan leaves behind an extraordinary legacy, I have every confidence that Katherine will build upon that strong foundation. I look forward to seeing her continued success in this new role,” said Mandy Kilday, president and CEO of Consumer Credit Union.
