Southern Security Members Donate $7,000 to Keesha Warrior Princess

Members of Southern Security Credit Union once again demonstrated their commitment to the community by raising $7,000 in support of Keesha Warrior Princess through a recent in-branch fundraiser.

Throughout the month of October, members contributed donations at Southern Security locations, supporting Keesha Warrior Princess’s mission to increase early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer in women ages 25–45 through education and outreach.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our members who continue to show up for causes that matter,” said Dawn Graeter, president and CEO of Southern Security. “This mission is deeply personal for many of us, and we are proud to support Keesha Warrior Princess in helping educate and empower women in our community.”

Keesha Warrior Princess is a Memphis-based nonprofit founded in memory of Keesha Furniss, who was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer at age 30. After her diagnosis, Keesha recognized that she had missed many early warning signs and made it her mission to share her story to help other young women detect the disease sooner. She passed away in November 2017.

One of the organization’s key educational tools is its Self-Check Reminder Card, designed to encourage regular self-exams and awareness. To request a free card, visit https://warriorprincess.org.
