TVFCU’s Katrina Chesney Earns Dual Certifications at CUNA’s 2023 Regulatory Compliance Certification School

Katrina Chesney, compliance analyst at Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (TVFCU), recently attended the 2023 Regulatory Compliance Certification School sponsored by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). She successfully completed six rigorous exams earning her dual certifications as a Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) and a Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (CRVPM).

Katrina joined TVFCU’s compliance team in 2022 after working in several other areas of the credit union since 2014. Katrina’s primary responsibilities include vendor management, business continuity, operational policies and procedures, internal audits, compliance training and the timely filing of CTRs.

“Since becoming compliance analyst at TVFCU, Katrina has worked to evolve our vendor management program and assisted with the timely filing of hundreds of CTRs” said Kim Tinney, director of risk and compliance, TVFCU. “The information gained from both of these CUNA certifications will be invaluable to our organization as we continue to add services and products to our membership.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed CUNA’s 2023 Regulatory Compliance Certification School,” said Chesney. “While it was a rigorous program, I was also able to form priceless connections with other credit union compliance professionals from across the country. Credit unions have always been a cooperative movement and having access to a credit union compliance network with whom I can brainstorm is invaluable to maintaining a strong compliance program. I look forward to further enhancing TVFCU’s Compliance program as well as being a resource to my fellow credit union compliance professionals.”
