1 in 20 children loses a parent before turning 16.
Inheritance of Hope was created to inspire hope in young families facing the loss of a parent. The goal is to provide them with a legacy-building experience they will remember forever.
The 501(c)(3) charity was founded by Kristen and Deric Milligan following several years of coping with the challenges of raising three young children while battling Kristen’s terminal liver cancer diagnosis.
Credit unions and the companies they work with from Tennessee and beyond are coming together to raise funds to host a retreat. In 2022 Tennessee credit unions raised more than $62,000 to provide a retreat for families in Nashville.

Two Ways to Donate
Donate items for the “Credit Union Welcome Bag” to be provided to families.
Credit union logo bags or backpacks
Pre-packaged snacks (crackers, cookies, gum, granola bars, fruit snacks, )
Small credit union logo items such as chapstick, cups, hats, notepads, and pens, toys, coloring books and crayons.
